GPS
The Global Positioning System (GPS) is the only complete function related (GNSS). The GPS uses a constellation of between 24.00 and 32.00 medium earth orbit satellites that transmit minute microwave signals which provide GPS receivers to calculate their location, speed, direction, and time. United States Department of Defense develops GPS and NAVSTAR-GPS is the official name. The GPS NAVSTAR is a satellite-based navigation, positioning system timing. The GPS is providing three-dimensional positioning whole day throughout the world.By calculating accurate data about 100 meters, the technology definitely beneficiary to the GPS users community for navigation, meter-level to locate, and from a millimeter level for geo positioning. This technology has numerous applications in GIS data collections, mapping surveying, .
There are different types of positioning is known as point positioning, relative positioning. If the objects position stationary, we call it as static positioning. While the objects position is moving, we can say it Kinematic Positioning. Generally, the static positioning uses in surveying and the GPS uses satellites and computers is used to calculate positions anywhere on the earth. The GPS is based on measuring the distance from the group of satellites in the space or satellite ranging. In order to understand GPS basics, the system can be grouped into a Kinematic Position in navigation.
there are three major components:
a. The Control Segment
b. The Space Segments
c. The User Segment
The Control Segment includes five monitoring stations (Kwajalein Island Colorado Springs, Diego Garcia, Diego Garcia ,Hawaii, and Ascesion Island). Three of these stations (Ascension, Kwajalein Diego Garcia,) serve as uplink installations, which is used to transform the datum to the satellite, includes new ephemerides ( function of time depends satellite positions ), corrections of clock, and other broadcasting message datum, while Colorado Springs serves as the main control station. The Control Segment undertakes launching maintenance construction, , and virtually constant performance monitoring of all GPS satellites which is the sole responsibility of the DOD.

The DOD monitoring station is tracking all GPS signal for using predicting their orbits and controlling the satellite. The user segment is a total user and supplier community, both military and civilian. The User Segment contains of all earth-basing GPS receivers. The GPS receiver transforming the timing signals from the visible satellites (above four) and, calculated their distances, calculates its own latitude, time elevation longitude,. This is a continuous process and usually the position is updated on each second.
GPS Technologies:
Global Positioning System (GPS). is constructed to serve global positioning services and with an accuracy from 10.1 to 15.00 meter. Due to satellite orbit errors and minor timing errors, however, more minute accuracies can not be calculated with standard GPS. Atmospheric conditions is also affecting GPS signals and their time of arrival on Earth.
GPS devices and systemsis using for carry various tracking needs includes family vehicles and buissiness by the increased number of emergency.
GPS Worldwide Technology is affordably priced, quick to install easy to use. As GPS technology is providing contributions to the world, its tracking chances or possibilities are becoming limitless.
